WhatsApp finally has stickers

Stickers, where have you been all my life?

I know, I know. Telegram and other messaging apps have had stickers for a long time. For some reason, Facebook’s WhatsApp didn’t yet. Better late than never, these are super cool.

One of the main pain points for me when sending GIF’s or images through WhatsApp is that those assets will be stored in my phone. Actually, I want that (sometimes), I want to keep them. Problem is I might receive more crap and actual things I want to keep so I end up having the clean a lot.

With stickers, this problem goes away. It’s like an emoji. You send them and they don’t show up in the phone’s photo gallery app (Google Photos or similar).

I’ve downloaded a bunch of packs from third-party apps. Funny enough some of the stickers packs are taken from Telegram.

Long live the stickers!

What app do you use for messaging?

  1. Yes, it’s hard to clean up all that crap we receive with WhatsApp.
